PURPOSE: A hinge assembly of an inclined door of a drum-type washing machine is provided to open and close obliquely the door by improving the hinge member without changing the structure of a cabinet and to realize the inclined door with minimizing the change of a design. CONSTITUTION: An inclined door of a drum-type washing machine is composed of a circular door frame rotated at the predetermined inclined angle obliquely to a horizontal shaft of a cabinet having an input port; a knob installed at the side of the door frame; and a fixing unit mounted at the knob to fasten and release the door frame to/from the cabinet. A hinge assembly of the door comprises a combining groove(84) formed at the door frame and a hinge member. The hinge member comprises a vertical fixing unit(101) formed perpendicularly to the ground on the cabinet; an upper horizontal unit(102) extended horizontally to the front side on the upside of the vertical fixing unit; a lower horizontal unit(103) extended in parallel to the upper horizontal unit at the lower side of the vertical fixing unit; and an inclined shaft unit(104,105) disposed at the end of the upper and lower horizontal units, tilted at the predetermined angle for a vertical shaft, and rotatively joined in the combining groove of the door frame. The forward extended length of the lower horizontal unit is longer than the extended length of the upper horizontal unit.
