摘要 PURPOSE: A side reinforcing structure of a vehicle door is provided to minimize bending strain of the door in a broadside collision and to secure safety of passengers by inserting a reinforcing panel preparatory against collision into inner and outer panels of the door. CONSTITUTION: A side reinforcing structure of a vehicle door has a reinforcing panel against collision(10) installed between inner and outer panels of the door. The reinforcing panel preparatory against collision is composed of first and second outer shell layers(11,12) made of fiber reinforced composite materials mixed with epoxy resin and glass fiber to minimize the weight and increase bending rigidity and strength and a plurality of honeycomb foam cores(21) inserted with a sound absorption/insulation agent(20) and formed densely between the first and second outer shell layers.
