ACOUSTOELECTRIC TRANSDUCER WITH LARGE DYNAMIC RANGE AND METHOD FOR ANALYZING MECHANICAL VIBRATION AND SOUND

PURPOSE: An acoustoelectric transducer and a method for analyzing mechanical vibration and sound are provided to have large dynamic range and to use for various purposes with a small size by using a diffraction grating and a photo detector. CONSTITUTION: An acoustoelectric transducer comprises a diaphragm(2) having a diffraction grating, for vibrating by an external force; a light source(1) for irradiating the diffraction grating; a photo detector(3) for detecting the light diffracted by the diffraction grating, and for converting the detected light into an electric signal. Wherein, the vibration displacement of the diaphragm(2) is converted into an electric signal. And a method for analyzing mechanical vibration and sound, comprises the steps of: irradiating light modulated by a repetitive periodic signal on the diaphragm; detecting the diffracted light and converting the detected light into the electric signal; demodulating the electric signal with the repetitive periodic signal.
