Milling roller

The milling roll has a base component (10) and a number of wear protection elements (11-14) of hard metal which form at least a part of the roll surface. The base component of the roll has cut-outs (10.1,10.2,10.3) extending in the circumferential direction, and in each cut-out several wear protection elements are installed one behind the other in the circumferential direction. The cut-outs each extend over the whole circumference of the roll.
