PURPOSE: A method for renting and reserving a video through the wired/wireless communication network using a video management server is provided to maximally reduce unnecessary time waste due to rent of the video, and improve convenience of a product by reserving/renting the desired video through the video management server storing video information via the wired/wireless communication network. CONSTITUTION: A user connects to the video management server storing video shops and the video information of each video shop through a call. In case that a video rent menu is selected, the user selects a video reception menu by selecting a video name and the video shop to rent the selected video(217). In case that delivery is selected from the video reception menu, settlement is performed after receiving the video(225). In case that visit rent is selected from the video reception menu, it is checked that the rent is available in a predetermined time(227). In case that the video is rented within the predetermined time(229), the settlement is performed. In an opposite case, an impossibility message is transmitted to the user through the SMS(Short Message Service)(233).
