[Also in Division C3] Compounds containing imide rings used to prepare ester imide resins, are obtained by reacting aromatic carboxylic anhydrides having at least one further reactive group, with primary amines also having at least one further reactive group. In examples diimidodicarboxylic acids are prepared by reacting trimellitic acid anhydride with 4, 4<SP>1</SP>-diaminodiphenyl-methane, with 4, 4<SP>1</SP>- diaminodiphenylsulphone, with p-phenylene diamine, with hexamethylene diamine, and with 4, 4<SP>1</SP>-diaminodiphenyl ether, and by reacting pyromellitic acid dianhydride with glycocoll and with p-aminobenzoic acid; monoimidodicarboxylic acids are prepared by reacting trimellitic acid anhydride with p-amino-benzoic acid and with glycocoll; diimidodihydroxy compounds are prepared by reacting pyromellitic acid dianhydride with monoethanol-amine and with 3-aminopropanol; and an imidohydroxycarboxylic acid is prepared from trimellitic acid and monoethanolamine.</p> |
