PURPOSE: A drill rod pulling device for a boring machine for developing underground water is provided to reduce working hours for replacing the drill bit by drawing two drill rods out of bores at a time, and to transport and store the boring machine easily by decreasing the length of the main tower in not pulling. CONSTITUTION: A drill rod pulling device of a boring machine is composed of an assembling hole communicated with a bore of a main lifting pipe in a main lifting plate, an auxiliary lifting pipe movably inserted and combined with the bore of the main lifting pipe through the assembling hole, an auxiliary cylinder(6) fixed and installed to the main lifting pipe to protrude a piston rod out, an auxiliary lifting plate(72) mounted to the end of the auxiliary lifting pipe and the piston rod of the auxiliary cylinder to move the auxiliary lifting pipe into or out of the main lifting pipe in moving the piston rod of the auxiliary cylinder in and out.
