WATER LEAKAGE-SENSING DEVICE OF A DISHWASHER INCLUDING A CONTROL PART, A POWER SUPPLY PART, A LOAD-DRIVING PART, A WATER LEAKAGE-SENSING PART, AND AN ERROR DETECTION PART, AND A METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A water leakage-sensing device of a dishwasher and a method thereof are provided to execute effective sensing of water leakage if a failure and a fault of the water leakage-sensing device occur. CONSTITUTION: A water leakage-sensing device of a dishwasher senses water leakage through the switching of a float switch, discharges water in a tub by driving a drainage pump, and displays a water leakage error message, via a water leakage-sensing control circuit. The water leakage-sensing control circuit comprises a control part(20) controlling the whole system of the dishwasher; a power supply part(40) supplying power to each part of the water leakage-sensing control circuit; a load-driving part(30) driving load required according to the control of the control part; a water leakage-sensing part(10) sensing a water leakage state and outputting a high signal to the control part if water leakage occurs; and an error detection part(50) sensing the water leakage state and outputting a signal to the control part through the same data line as the water leakage-sensing part if water leakage does not occur.
