The base weave is provided with bamboo loops. The loops are formed by a warp or weft and appear on both sides of the fabric. The bamboo fiber is mixed completely or partially with other fibers. The fabric (1) comprises a base warp (2), loop warp (3) and a base weft (4). The base warp and the loop warp are single- or twisted threads. Threads in the base warp and/or loop warp are shaved. Various similar fiber combinations are elaborated. The weight of the looped product fabric is 200-1700 g/m 2>. In the fabric, the warps number 21-34/cm. The wefts number 10-28/cm. Loops number 3-9/cm. Loop length per cm of weave on one side of the fabric is 0.5-1.7 cm. Loop maximum height above the base fabric is H, the loop width (B) at 0.5H, being up to 2/3 H. More than 30% of the area is covered with bamboo fiber loops. The thread size number in the loop warp is Ne 3/1 to Ne 40/1 for individual threads and between Ne8/2 and Ne 40/2 for twisted threads. The thread size number in the base weft is Ne 10/1 to Ne 24/1. Further physical properties are tabulated in the disclosure. When the fabric is used as toweling the edging (5) braid has a length of 1-15 cm. |
