PURPOSE: An outdoor device of a front-suction/discharge type air conditioner is provided to increase heat-exchange rate in a first area more than that of a second area by making the pitch between tubes of a condenser in the first area narrower than the second area. CONSTITUTION: An outdoor case comprises a front side(60) opened to communicate with the outside of a building; both laterals sides(12a,12b) formed at both ends of the front side; a rear side(12c) facing the front side; a bottom side(14) formed at the lower ends of the lateral and rear sides; and an upside(16) formed on the upper end of the front, lateral, and rear sides. A compressor(20) compresses refrigerant gas supplied from an indoor device into the outdoor case. A cooling fan(40) installed in the outdoor device case sucks in the external air of the building through the front side and then discharges the air heat-exchanged in the outdoor device case through the front side. An air-cooled condenser(30) is installed in the outdoor device case to condense the refrigerant gas fed from the compressor by exchanging heat between the refrigerant gas with the external air sucked by the cooling fan and is divided into a first area adjacent to the cooling fan and a second area separated relatively from the cooling fan. The heat-exchange degree in the first area is larger than that of the second area.
