PURPOSE: A drying device and a washing machine having the same are provided to shorten drying time by condensing quickly the air by repeatedly flowing up and down the air of high humidity inserted into a condensing duct. CONSTITUTION: A drying device for a washing machine has a condensing duct(30) installed on the outer surface of a water tub. The inside of the condensing duct is divided into plural condensing passages(37,38,39) which are connected in series by at least one air guide(35,36) disposed in the condensing duct. A supersonic spraying device(50) for generating fine water particles is installed at one spot of plural condensing passages to promote the condensation of the water in the air. Condensing nozzles(40,41) for injecting the water are installed at the condensing passage to accelerate the condensation of the water. A water adsorbing member(60) is disposed at one sport of the condensing passage to adsorb the water.
