PURPOSE: A folder/slide type mobile terminal is provided to satisfy various demands of users by enabling a cover to be opened/closed in a folder type or slidably up and down. CONSTITUTION: A terminal body(101) includes a control plate inside thereof, a plurality of buttons formed at a lower portion from the center of an upper surface, and select keys formed at an upper side of the buttons. A cover(102) is installed at an upper side of the terminal body(101) and includes a screen provided at both inner and outer surface thereof. Guide slits(103) are formed at both sides of an inner side of the cover(102) and have a certain width and length. Hinge type guide ribs(104) are installed at an upper end portion of the terminal body(101), coupled to the guide slits(103) to rotate the cover(102) so as to be opened and closed, and slide the cover(102) along the guide slits(103) in the longitudinal direction.
