CIRCUIT FOR DRIVING AT LEAST ONE HIGH VOLTAGE DISCHARGE LAMP HAVING FULL-BRIDGE DEVICE AND DRIVING CIRCUIT OPERATING AT LOW SWITCHING FREQUENCIES

PURPOSE: A circuit for driving at least one high voltage discharge lamp is provided to manufacture mass amount of products at a low cost by using a full-bridge device and a driving circuit operating at low switching frequencies. CONSTITUTION: A circuit(10) for driving at least one high voltage discharge lamp includes a full-bridge device(14), at least two terminals for coupling the high voltage discharge lamp to a mid-point of bridge arms, at least two terminals for supplying DC voltage signals to the circuit, and at least one high voltage discharge lamp having a driving circuit(20). The full-bridge device includes four switches to form first and second bridge arms. The driving circuit drives the four switches. The driving circuit is designed to supply driving signals to the four switches. A clock pulse is swept between first and second frequencies and the pulse width and phase of the driving circuit are definable.
