PURPOSE: A dead volume reducing structure of a closed compressor is provided to reduce the re-expansion loss of refrigerant gas by preventing some of compressed gas from remaining between a vane and a discharge hole by forming a through-passage between a vane slot and the discharge port and accordingly to increase the suction amount of the refrigerant gas. CONSTITUTION: A dead volume reducing structure of a closed compressor is composed of a cylinder assembly comprising a predetermined inner space, plural vane slots(3a) communicating with the inner space, and plural discharge ports(3b) formed at the side of the vane slot to communicate with the inner space; a rotary shaft having a blade unit(4C) for dividing the inner space of the cylinder assembly into plural closed spaces and moving fluid in each closed space with rotating relatively; a plurality of vanes(5A,5B) inserted into the vane slot of the cylinder assembly to contact with both upper and lower sides of the blade unit and reciprocated axially along the shape of the blade unit to compress the fluid in each closed space; and a through-passage(3c) interposed between the discharge port and the vane slot of the cylinder assembly.
