PURPOSE: Provided is an orientation film with novel diamine which is included in a liquid crystal display element with showing low residual charge and high voltage holding ratio and keeping free tilt angle properly within 0-90 degree. CONSTITUTION: The novel diamine is represented by formula 1, in which R is H, halogen, cyano, -NCO, - NCS or C1-C20 alkyl group; A1, A2 and A3 are a secondary aliphatic ring or an aromatic ring like 1,4-cyclohexylene, 1,3-cyclohexylene, 1,2-cyclohexylene, 1,4-cyclohexenylene, 1,3-cyclohexenylene, 1,2-cyclohexenylene, 1,4-phenylene, 1,3-phenylene, 1,2-phenylene, naphthalene-2,6-diyl, 1,2,3,4-tetrahydronaphthalene-2,6-diyl, decahydronaphthalene-2,6-diyl, 5,6,7,8-tetrahydronaphthalene-2,6-diyl, fluorene-2,7-diyl or 9-methylfluorene-2,7-diyl; B1, B2 and B3 are a single bond or C1-C20 alkylene group; T is a secondary aliphatic ring or an aromatic ring like 1,4-cyclohexylene, 1,3-cyclohexylene, 1,2-cyclohexylene, 1,4-phenylene, 1,3-phenylene or 1,2-phenylene; and m, n and p is 0 or 1(R is not H when m=0, n=0 and p=1, B3 is a single bond or T is 1,3-cyclohexylene or 1,4-cyclohexylene).
