METHOD FOR UPGRADING SOFTWARE OF A MOBILE TERMINAL, PARTICULARLY FOR STABLY UPGRADING BY DOWNLOADING NEW SOFTWARE FROM A RADIO COMMUNICATION NETWORK BY USING A DUAL STORAGE STRUCTURE

摘要

PURPOSE: A method for upgrading software of a mobile terminal is provided to upgrade software stably and enhance user's convenience by recovering an error when the error is generated during upgrading. CONSTITUTION: A mobile terminal receives a request for updating software from an external source(301). The mobile terminal downloads software to be upgraded from a mobile communication network and stores it in an upgrade software region of a storage unit(302). It is checked whether the downloading has been successfully completed(303). When the downloading has been successfully completed, the upgrade software region storing the downloaded software is selected as an execution software and then software upgrading is performed(304). If the downloading has not been successfully completed, a previously installed software region storing existing software is maintained as an execution software(305).
