FIREPROOF PVC COMPOSITION COMPRISING PVC, FIREPROOF AGENT AND CO-FIREPROOF AGENT

PURPOSE: Provided is a fireproof poly(vinyl chloride) composition which is improved in fireproofing and whose poly(vinyl chloride) itself shows an excellent fireproofness. CONSTITUTION: The fireproof poly(vinyl chloride) composition comprises 100 parts by weight of poly(vinyl chloride); 1-30 parts by weight of a fireproof agent; and 1-15 parts by weight of a co-fireproof agent. Preferably the poly(vinyl chloride) has a degree of polymerization of 100-3,000 and a particle size of 50-300 micrometers, and is prepared by suspension polymerization, mass polymerization, emulsion polymerization or microsuspension polymerization from a vinyl chloride monomer, or a vinyl chloride monomer and a monomer copolymerizable with the vinyl chloride monomer. Preferably the fireproof agent is at least one kind of compound selected from the group consisting of a halogen compound, a phosphorus-based compound and an epoxy compound.
