A method of producing briquettes from scale and iron-bearing dust with an addition of molasses by way of briquetting in known briquetting machines, characterised in that 15-45 percent by weight of iron-bearing dust is added per 100 percent by weight of scale, and the ingredients are dried. Further, 5-10 percent by weight of molasses in proportion to the weight of scale and dust is added during mixing and, when a homogenous mix with a humidity of 1.5-7 percent is produced, it is formed into briquettes which are further seasoned.
