PURPOSE: A watermarking system in mobile communication networks is provided to enable tracking and acknowledging of distributors without using authorities by using an ESN(Electronic Serial Number) as watermarks. CONSTITUTION: A watermarking system in mobile communication networks includes a personal computer(200) and a mobile communication terminal(300). The personal computer transmits multimedia data received via a base station or networks. The mobile communication terminal inserts a watermark on the multimedia data and stores the result. The personal computer includes a watermarking tool block which downloads an ESN(Electronic Serial Number) from the mobile communication terminal, converts the downloaded ESN, and performs watermarking on the multimedia data.
