The invention relates to a supporting part of a keratoprosthesis, in particular to an oxide ceramic coating on the titanium supporting elements of the keratoprosthesis, which can be applied in medicine in case of corneal blindness and when it is impossible to perform a successful keratoplasty. The coating is deposited over the titanium supporting elements by single electric arc oxidation which is effected in electrolyte at temperature range from -10 to -20 degrees C with AC current with 50 Hz frequency and from 110 to 200 V, and for time required to form a film of from 25 to 40 microm. After drying of the oxide film, its recrystallization by firing at 550 to 650 degrees C for 20 to 40 min, and washing, composite bioactive coating from 5 to 10 microm thick is deposited of hydroxy apatite gel and porous bioactive hydroxy apatite granulate of phytogenous origin in volume ratio of 2:0.5 to 2:1. Subsequent drying and thermal fixation at 500 t0 550 degrees C for 30 to 60 min. The produced supporting part of the keratoprosthesis is thin-walled ands form strong contact connection to the corneal tissue.
