PURPOSE: A level shifter is provided to reduce power consumption by preventing generation of a current path due to simultaneous operation of PMOS(Positive Metal Oxide Semiconductor) and NMOS(Negative Metal Oxide Semiconductor) transistors. CONSTITUTION: A level shifter includes a signal input portion(100), a source voltage portion(200), a first boot strap portion(310), a second boot strap portion(320), a first switch(N1), a second switch(P1), and an output portion(400). The signal input portion receives an external input signal to output first and second input signals. The first boot strap portion boosts the first input signal. The second boot strap portion boosts the second input signal. The first switch receives the first and second input signals. The second switch receives first and second boosting signals. The output portion receives the outputs of the switches.
