The invention relates to the tobacco growing, in particular to the processing of fresh-cut tobacco leaves. The installation is made dismountable and consists of loading platforms with a machine for stringing tobacco leaves on the needles and withering, natural drying and fermentation chambers - all arranged in series. The chambers are equipped with transport paths and handling trolleys. The withering chamber is covered with light-proof material and the fermentation chamber is covered with transparent material and provided with a self-contained climatizer. The machine for stringing tobacco leaves contains two interminable roller chains placed in parallel, the links of which contain projecting shelves with centrally placed pits, forming the sockets for shank displacement in the needle zone, disposed between the chains. The needle is made in the form of a rod with pointed, detachable head, with a length equal to the length of the chain action sector. The machine is additionally equipped with a feeding conveyer, a leaf taking over device, an electromagnetic radiator, a mechanism for leaf feeding with a shank calibration device. The invention gives the possibility to mechanize the stringing operation, providing for the uniform distribution of tobacco leaves on the needles, that optimizes the drying and fermentation thereof, reduces the expenses in the production of fermented tobacco leaves.
