PURPOSE: Provided is an anti-aging composition for external application to the skin which contains ingredients having protective effect on intercellular communication capacity. Therefore, it maintains intercellular communication capacity to prevent and delay skin aging. CONSTITUTION: The anti-aging composition for external application to the skin is characterized by containing, as an active ingredient, 0.001-30.0 wt.% of one of retinoic acid, resveratrol, epigallocatechin gallate or genistein which has protective effect on intercellular communication capacity, normalizing effect on connexin expression and promoting effect on procollagen expression.
