PURPOSE: A damping valve of a steering system is provided to open gradually passages according to hydraulic pressure by forming differently constants of a spring for supporting a reverse valve in flowing inversely the hydraulic pressure. CONSTITUTION: A damping valve of a steering system is composed of a gear box forming a cylinder therein; a piston installed to move in the cylinder; a hydraulic tube extended out of the cylinder divided by the piston; a housing formed with a hydraulic port at one side and installed at the side of the hydraulic tube; a combining nut joined on the upper inner periphery of the housing; and a valve body(130) disposed under the combining nut and formed with passages for forward and reverse flows of the hydraulic pressure, separately. The valve body comprises a large passage hole installed in the center and composed of a forward valve elastically supported upward and slid vertically to open and close the passage and a small passage hole disposed radially apart from the large passage hole at the predetermined distance and composed of a reverse valve(150) elastically supported downward and slid vertically to open and close the passage.
