SMALL-SIZED HIGH-COUNT OPTICAL FIBER CABLE HAVING IMPROVED MANIPULABILITY BY USING COMPONENTS OTHER THAN JELLY COMPOUND

PURPOSE: A small-sized high-count optical fiber cable is provided to improve manipulability by using a waterproof powder, a mixture of the waterproof powder and talc, or a waterproof yarn instead of a jelly compound. CONSTITUTION: A small-sized high-count optical fiber cable includes a cable body(1), and a support member(2). The cable body includes a tube(14) implementing more than two parallel optical fibers with waterproof powder, a mixture of the waterproof powder and a talc, or a waterproof yarn, a flexible line(5), and an outer coating(3). The outer coating encloses the tube and the flexible line. The support member includes a support line(7) at the center thereof and another outer coating(8) enclosing the support line. The outer coating of the support member is coupled with the outer coating of the cable body.
