MULTI-FUNCTION PERIPHERAL HAVING JAM REMOVAL DEVICE AND JAM REMOVAL METHOD THEREOF FOR REMOVING PAPER JAM AND DOCUMENT JAM

PURPOSE: A multi-function peripheral having a jam removal device and a jam removing method of the peripheral are provided to remove jams of paper and document using a single device in one place when the jams are generated when the document is scanned and/or paper is printed. CONSTITUTION: A multi-function peripheral includes a printer unit(100) and a scanner unit(150). The peripheral further includes the first case(210), the second case(220), and a jam removal device(200). The first case houses a part of the scanner unit and constructs a part of a paper feeding path of the printer unit. The second case houses the remaining part of the scanner unit and constructs a part of a document feeding path of the scanner unit together with the first case. The jam removal device separates the first and second cases from the printer unit to remove a paper jam when the paper jam is generated in the printer unit.
