摘要 PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for generating a preamble sequence in OFDMA(Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing Access) communication systems using plural transmitting antennas are provided to improve overall system performance by generating a preamble sequence having the least PAPR(Peak to Average Power Ratio). CONSTITUTION: An apparatus generating a preamble sequence in OFDMA communication systems uses first number of sub-carriers and second number of transmitting antennas. The apparatus further includes second number of preamble sequence generators(600) and second number of inverse fast Fourier transformers(521,633). The preamble sequence generators use a constellation expansion complementary sequence to generate the preamble sequence having third number of elements. The inverse fast Fourier transformers insert null data to sub-carriers corresponding to an interference removing component between a DC component and the sub-carriers. The third number of elements is inserted to sub-carriers to which the null data is not inserted. The inverse fast Fourier transformers perform inverse fast Fourier transformation on the inserted result.
