PURPOSE: A contents right security system and a method thereof for keeping contents security on an executing device are provided to keep the contents security on the executing device by encrypting the contents in a contents server, performing user certification through the contents server, and periodically receiving a certification key corresponding to an encryption method. CONSTITUTION: If the executing device receiving the encrypted contents file requests a user certification key for executing the contents file, a certification processor(142) identifies that a user is allowed to access the contents file. An encryption processor(141) encrypts the contents file through diverse encryption methods at a predetermined time interval. A certification signal generator(143) generates the certification signal corresponding to the encryption method of the contents file encrypted by the encryption processor depending on a user certification result and periodically transmits it to the executing device.
