A polypeptide comprising the sequence selected from SEQ ID NOs:1-4 which is capable of hydrolyzing an organophosphate molecule is described. Fusion polypeptides, vectors, host cells, processes for preparing the polypeptide and polynucleotides are also described. Also described is an isolated strain of Agrobacterium radiobacter deposited under NM01/21112 is also described. Compositions comprising the bacterium or polypeptide can be used to hydrolyse an organophosphate in a sample.
