PURPOSE: An apparatus for remotely processing phonebook information of a mobile station and a method therefor are provided to remotely search, update, delete, register, and download phonebook information by using a PC messenger and a phone messenger so that a plurality of computers and mobile stations can share the phonebook information in real time. CONSTITUTION: A high frequency part(100) transmits and receives various communication signals to and from a base station wirelessly connected. A control unit(110) connects to the high frequency part(100), authenticates a communication partner, and controls and monitors input and output of phonebook information, messenger communication, and whole functions of a mobile station. An authenticating unit(120) judges whether the communication partner is allowed to access the phonebook information. A phonebook part(130) records and outputs telephone numbers, e-mail addresses, and simple memos. A messenger part(140) connects to the control part(110) and connects to the communication partner through the high frequency part(100) for real-time messenger communication.
