PURPOSE: A table support construction is provided which is capable of upholding a table board using a prop member securely assembled to a base member in a stable manner and has increased durability, thereby providing an economic advantage in maintenance and management thereof. CONSTITUTION: The base comprises: a base member(10) made of a synthetic resin or light metal, having a hollowed cavity, a shield plate(12), a shield steel(12a) and an assembly groove portion(11) and maintaining a uniform thickness; a prop member(20) inserted into the assembly groove portion(11) of the base member(10); a support block(11a) formed in the vicinity of the assembly groove portion(11); and filling holes(123) pierced at front and rear ends of opposite bent portions(122) of the shield steel(12a).
