New beta crystalline form of perindopril tert-butylamine salt, a process for its preparation and pharmaceutical compositions containing it

Disclosed is a beta crystalline form of the compound of Formula (I). Also disclosed are processes of making such crystalline forms characterised in that a solution of perindopril tert-butylamine salt in dichloromethane is heated at reflux, the solution is then cooled to 0 degrees C and the solid obtained is collected by filtration. Alternatively, the solvent may be ethyl acetate, in which case it is cooled rapidly to 5 degrees C and the resulting solid collected by filtration.
