The holder has supply brushes (20), and a connecting unit (36) for electrically connecting the brushes to a supply unit (42). Each brush has one end in contact with a collector (28) placed in one zone, and another end connected to the connecting unit placed in another zone. The two zones are separated by a cover (44) which is impermeable to particles that are removable from the brushes. An independent claim is also included for an actuator for a gear box.
