The arrangement has a yoke (4) with an end part (6) adapted to a profile of a rack (3). The rack is mounted in a tubular part of a steering gear box (2). A helical spring (20) transmits an axial force to the yoke. An adjustable screw (9) is connected with the tubular part by its threading. The yoke is extended opposite to the end part by a guide pin (15) and mounted with a radial clearance (J2) in a central bore (11) of the screw.
