<p>The simple frog is meant for the switch apparatus, it is intended to be mounted within said apparatus and allows the shunting of the rolling stock at the same level. The simple frog is made by using tips of normal rails. Said frog comprises some tips (1 and 2) to be rigidly assembled to some normal rail wings (3) by means of some spacing wedges (4), some straight or sloped inserts (5), some square-headed horizontal bolts (6), some spring rings (7) and some nuts (8). The said so assembled elements are set on some shoulder-plates (9) and are secured thereto by using some screws (10), some pliers (11), some spring rings (12) and some hexagon nuts (13). The tips (1 and 2) are machined up to the rail web, according to the dimension (a), and in the vertical plane, according to the dimension (b), depending on the height of the rail type, so that the tip (1) allows to be joined to the tip (2) along a certain portion, depending on the frog geometry (the type of the normal rail, the tangent of the frog angle, the radius of the curvature), further on, the web of the tip (2) continuing under the crown of the tip (1), it being attached thereto up to the end.</p> |
