PURPOSE: A vehicle navigation apparatus is provided to test operation state when a pulse signal is not applied from a vehicle speed sensor. CONSTITUTION: According to the vehicle navigation apparatus, a key input unit generates a test key signal according to the operation of a user. A control unit(104) outputs a control signal to generate a pulse signal if the test key signal is inputted from the key input unit. And a pulse generation unit(110) generates a test pulse signal according to the control signal applied from the control unit and then inputs it to a signal input port(101).
