DIGITAL DOOR LOCK APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING THE SAME USING PASSWORD ID AS WELL AS REMOTE CONTROL KEY

PURPOSE: A digital door lock apparatus and a method for controlling the same are provided to improve security by requiring password IDs(IDentifications) as well as a remote control key under a security mode when the remote control key or the password ID is lost. CONSTITUTION: A remote control key periodically transmits a wireless frequency signal having registered IDs. A user detector detects an access of a user and outputs a user detection signal. A wireless receiver(110) receives the registered ID wireless frequency signal from the remote control key. A registered ID storage(130) receives the registered ID from the remote control key and stores the input registered IDs. A key input unit receives password IDs from a user by key manipulation. A password ID storage(138) receives the password IDs from the user and stores the input password IDs. A door lock(100) includes a processor(150) for matching the registered ID from the remote control key with the input registered ID in the registered ID storage simultaneously while matching the password ID from the remote control key with the input password ID in the password ID storage. The microprocessor outputs an unlock signal to a motor driver(190) based on the matching result.
