Polymer for the production of abrasion-resistant fibre, consists of two macromolecular polycondensate chains linked by a co-condensed hydrocarbon-based group with at least 2 carbon atoms. Abrasion-resistant yarn, fibres and filaments (ARF) obtained from a composition with a polymeric matrix comprising a polycondensate consisting of 30-100 mol% macromolecular chains of formula (I), and 0-70 mol% macromolecular chains of formula (II).
