The method involves providing two layers made of leather, cloth or plastic material with a foldable precut rectangular flap and with passage holes, respectively and assembling the layers.. A metallic component is positioned on leather goods by passing a fastening rod of the component through the holes and by pushing back the flap. A head of the fastening rod is set and the flap is folded. An independent claim is also included for a leather goods provided with a metallic component.
