Process for the isolation and purification of epothilones

A process for desorbing epothilones from a resin comprising making use of a weakly polar or apolar solvent selected from the group consisting of lower alkyl halogenides and aromatic solvents or a mixture of two or more such solvents; wherein "lower" means that the radical contains up to seven carbon atoms; and a process for the isolation of epothilones adsorbed to a synthetic resin.
