PURPOSE: A secondary injury-prevention sunroof system of a vehicle is provided to restrict passengers from getting injured through an opening space of a sunroof by shutting off completely the opening space according to the degree of shock applied on a roof by a rigid material sliding between an opening and closing cover and a sunshade. CONSTITUTION: A secondary injury-prevention sunroof system of a vehicle comprises a sunroof for communicating or isolating a vehicle room from the outside by opening or closing an opening space(K) formed between roof outer and inner panels(1,2) forming the vehicle roof and a shut-off unit moved toward the opening space to isolate the opening space according to shock applied on the vehicle roof. The shut-off unit is composed of a shut-off plate(10) disposed in a space formed by the roof outer and inner panels to shield the opening space; a pressurizing member(13) of which one end is fastened at the panels to generate elastic return force on the shut-off plate; a shutter(12) arranged between the shut-off plate and the pressurizing member to cut off the elastic return force delivery of the pressurizing member; a solenoid(11) for operating the shutter according to shock applied on the vehicle roof to transmit the elastic return force of the pressurizing member to the shut-off plate; and a controller for judging if the solenoid is operated by a signal of a sensing member for detecting the shock.
