PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mounting structure of a roof rack capable of securely mounting by a simple operation without a screw operation in mounting a joint base 10 of a button-operation type joint 2 to an L-shaped direct mounting type roof rail 8 by adjusting a longitudinal position. SOLUTION: The joint base 10 is equipped with a front surface plate 11 placed to a roof rail body 8a having a projected joint pin 12, and a back surface plate 15 where a projecting part 16 engaging with a recessed part 9 continuously formed on the roof rail body 8a in the longitudinal direction is formed. Curved plate parts 11a, 15a which are curved to the lower side and the upper side and pivotally mounted each other up to the middle position along the tip end surface of the roof rail body 8a are formed on the inside end of the vehicle width direction of the front surface plate 11 and the back surface plate 15, and a plate-like stopper 17 is pivotally mounted to the one-side curved plate part 11a. The shape is formed so as to restrain an opening by contacting to the curved plate part 15a when it is operated to rotate from an unlock position contacting only to the curved plate part 11a to a lock position in a state that the projecting part 16 is engaged with the recessed part 9 by contacting the back surface plate 15 and the front surface plate 11 is placed on the roof rail body 8a.
