PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an industrial vehicle capable of changing a direction and turning on the spot by one direction-changing cylinder, and making the direction-changing cylinder compact. SOLUTION: Knuckles 38 are rotatably provided at right and left end portions of an axle body 30 through vertical shaft elements 35, and a direction-changing wheels 4 are provided at the knuckles 38. The direction-changing cylinder 45 from which a piston rod 45a is projected to both of right and left sides is provided on the axle body 30, and an end portion of the piston rod 45c and the knuckles 38 are coupled through a link 47 and coupling pins 48, 49 so as to relatively rotate. A guide means 51 for a projecting part of the piston rod 45c is provided. Reaction force generated when rotating the knuckle through the link and the coupling pins, namely bending force applied on the piston rod side can be received by the guide means, and the piston rod does not receive large bending force. Therefore, the piston rod can be formed to be thin. The direction-changing cylinder can be structured in small size, and to be compact by shortening the whole length, thereby decreasing vehicular width. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
