PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the adjusting operation of an image exposing device. SOLUTION: The image exposing device is composed of a semi-conductor laser element 40, a data conversion means and a drive circuit 42. The semi-conductor laser element 40 radiates a laser beam to a photosensitive material for exposure formation of an image. The data conversion means converts the image data of an image for exposure formation to data for actuating a semi-conductor laser element 40. The drive circuit 42 drives the semi-conductor laser element based on the data outputted from the data conversion means. A drive current control circuit 42c changes the drive current of the semi-conductor laser element for producing a test print for exposure condition setting. Based on the information which shows the relationship between color or consistency in test print produced by drive operation by driving current operation circuit 42c and measuring point, and the information which shows the relationship between the position in the test print and the drive current, the data conversion conditions of the data conversion method are set up.
