PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for observing the flight state of droplets which can accurately observe the flight state of droplets delivered and flying from the nozzles of droplet delivering head, with a simple configuration. SOLUTION: The apparatus 1 for observing the flight state of droplets observes the flight state of droplets 200 which are delivered and fly from the nozzles of droplet delivering head 100 . The apparatus 1 comprises a first flash emission means 2 which emits a first flash to the droplets 200 at a first delay time after the delivery of the droplets 200, a second flash emission means 3 which emits a second flash to the droplets 200 at a second delay time after the emission of the first flash, a camera 4 which picks up an electronic image of the flight region 400 of the droplets 200 in the exposure time including the first flash emission time and the second flash emission time, and an image processing system 5 which obtains information relating to the flight state of the droplets 200 by image-processing the electronic image picked-up by the camera 4.
