PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for bending tatami facing, which enables neat bending of the tatami facing made of a synthetic resin, so as to efficiently produce a rimless tatami mat capable of providing great aesthetic satisfaction. SOLUTION: This device for bending the tatami facing, which is used for bending the tatami facing 3 made of the synthetic resin along a side edge of a tatami core 2, comprises: a table 1 for placing the tatami core 2 by locating the tatami facing 3 in a lower position; a tatami-core fixing means for holding down the tatami core 2, placed on the table 1, to the table 1; a streak making means for making a burnt streak 27 along the side edge of the tatami core 2 on the tatami facing 3 protruding from the side edge of the tatami core 2; and a bending means for bending the tatami facing 3, protruding from the side edge of the tatami core 2, toward the tatami core 2. The streak making means has a streak making plate 13 which is pressed against the tatami facing 3 from above so as to make the burnt streak 27. The device also comprises a streak-making-plate hoisting/lowering means for hoisting and lowering the plate 13 with respect to the tatami facing 3, and a heating means for heating at least a lower edge 26, which is brought into contact with the tatami facing 3, of the plate 13, to a predetermined temperature.
