PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To configure relations between a sequence control part and slave units flexible with various system structures by freely assigning the connected slave units, in a programmable controller for sequence control of multiple systems. SOLUTION: The programmable controller has connections between a master unit MU with the sequence control part 10 for controlling multiple systems and the slave units SU with a DI/DO interface on one or more communication lines S1 to S4. Each system of the sequence control part has a DI/DO signal table associating DI/DO signals with the sequence control part 10. Correspondences between the slave units SU and the DI/DO signal tables can be assigned independently of the communication lines S1 to S4 to configure relations between the sequence control part and the salve units flexible with various system structures shown in (a) and (b).
