PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a database system, and a method and a program for managing the database, which are capable of improving security of each user data. SOLUTION: A database system 4 connected with a terminal 1 and an 'A' company authentication system 11 via a network receives an authentication ID issued from the system 11 to the terminal 1 from the system 11, and receives an access request with the authentication ID added thereto from the terminal 1. The database system 4 compares the authentication ID received from the system 11 with the authentication ID added to the access request received from the terminal 1 and determines whether or not the authentication IDs coincide with each other. If the determination result shows the coincidence, the database system 4 decides a segment in a database to which an access is permitted and transmits access permission to the segment, based on the authentication IDs.
