摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a welded joint made of a low carbon stainless steel pipe for piping, which prevents stress corrosion cracking occurring in a BWR atomic power plant, and to provide a manufacturing method therefor. SOLUTION: SCC in the welded joint for piping is considered to be caused by increased surface hardness when a welding groove is prepared in the pipe, the deposition of a SCC acceleration substance contained in a cutting oil and atmosphere, the change of the structure in a base metal due to a thermal effect, the increase of residual stress and hardness due to deformation by welding heat. Accordingly, the welded joint has a welded part which is solution-heat-treated at 1,000 to 1,150°C after the welded joint has been formed. The welded joint for piping is made of a steel having a chemical composition including 0.08% or less C, 1% or less Si, 2% or less Mn, 0.04% or less P, 0.01% or less S, 10-15% Ni and 16-19% Cr.
