A fastening ring (3) fixes a path-limiting device on a platen (1) for a hydraulic testing machine. Three spindles (5) fasten rigidly on the ring and protrude from it. Each spindle has a top and bottom stop nut (6), which acts on its outer contour so that a belt drive like a toothed belt (9) can be attached on each nut without slippage. The spindles pass through slots in a piston flange (7).
